Project Profile: State of Vermont’s Liquor Control Board/Department of Liquor Control

MAI conducted a Business Process and Staffing Review of the liquor purchase, warehousing, and distribution operations for the State of Vermont’s Liquor Control Board/Department of Liquor Control (DLC). The functions under review included order receipt, pick/packing operations, truck loading, delivery services, and purchasing processes. Workload was identified, analyzed to capture staffing requirements, and reported with recommendations for improving workflow, staffing mix, cost of operations, and productivity. A major part of this study was benchmarking the Vermont DLC’s operations against other States that retain a monopoly on liquor distribution. This report is available at:
